Integrate the acoustic dimension into our workstations.

Seen at Workspace Expo

An amazing booth dedicated entirely to solutions to improve the quality of Open Spaces: via layout, zoning, flow management, the choice of specific furniture, lighting, acoustics management …

ATEMA presented there systems, storage furniture but also solutions to create spaces of relaxation, to isolate oneself or to meet in a formal or informal way.

This is what Jean-Luc BERTRAND, its Director, told us: “We cross reference the know-how of our technical studies teams and interior designers on more than 10 key points. In order to carry out with the companies that request our services, an audit prior to our actions and recommendations. We do not forget the decorative dimension that is essential in our recommendations, because it is for one employee out of two, an axis of progress in the office organisation. ” The choice of furniture, meanwhile, allows to give a construction and organization to the workspace, a real generator of visual separation and acoustic comfort. This respect for the personal space also generates well-being, comfort and therefore performance. Indeed, employees working in open space are more likely than those in individual offices to think that their company does not pay enough attention to the layout of the work environment. Some products presented particularly appealed to us, the Swiss EchoJazz acoustic products, including EchoPanels® composed of 100% PET (polyethylene terephthalate). Per square meter, EchoJazz, uses between 47 and 72 PET bottles from landfills and the Pacific Ocean. As an exclusive supplier, EchoJazz offers a product exchange program for all non-polluted products. This means that all EchoPanels® can be returned to recycling at the end of their life cycle, distributed in France by ATEMA.

The EchoCurtain® divider

The EchoCurtain® divider, as an acoustic room divider in OpenSpace offices, is an aesthetic solution, very efficient and transparent, different patterns in laser cutting even allow customization The products are available in 12 mm and 24 mm material thicknesses in two different sizes. In order to optimize the sound absorption, the 24 mm material is recommended with a 20% maximum perforation. The product is suspended by means of steel suspension cables directly from the ceiling. On request, EchoCurtain® can be offered with a rail system. In addition to the standard designs, there is the possibility of having a “unique” custom product.

ATEMA: bank offices ceiling Paris and Madrid

ATEMA has built its expertise in acoustic issues of open space development, particularly through its experience in developing call and customer relations centers.

Precursor

Since the 1990s, ATEMA has developed more than 500 call centers platforms for a wide range of customers: banking, insurance, emergency services, e-commerce sites, technical or legal hotlines, outsourcers … And has this way acquired a recognized know-how to develop these open platforms, precursors of the present open-spaces including acoustic correction via installation of spaces, furniture ergonomics, treatment by partitions / screens, movable or not partitions, storage spaces, ceiling tiles or acoustic baffles dressing the walls. Storage units are natural allies of acoustic comfort: on ATEMA stand, a demonstration “in situ” showed that by creating an obstacle in the propagation of acoustic waves, storage (high and low cabinets, locker rooms, lockers …) are existing media that can be easily used to reduce the reverberation effect in a space.

ATEMA: New, acoustic custom frames

Improvement of acoustic comfort In an open space layout for example, rather than aligning the storage units (high and low cabinets) against the walls, it is often possible to use them to delimit passage and circulation areas, to create a protective airlock for entry / exit, to define zones or spaces for a project, a function, a team … This structuring effect can be reinforced with regard to the improvement of acoustic comfort by equipping the high or low cabinet backs and the low storage with acoustic panels. Wall frames, suspended acoustic panels, “acoustic” lighting etc … a real summary of acoustic problems in open space development.
